How to get update iOS 8.1 for your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

Apple has just released iOS 8.1 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, which includes a number of improvements and new functionality like SMS Relay enables NFC-based Mobile Payments of a fee Apple, iCloud Photo in beta, and the camera roll

 Apple iOS 8.1 has available to free upgrade for the following iOS devices
  • iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5 and iPhone 4s
  • iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3 and iPad 2
  • Retina iPad mini, 1st gen iPad mini
  • 5th generation iPod touch 
 
 Step 1 Backing up your iOS device:

It's always a good idea to take a backup of iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch before updating to the latest iOS software update iOS. (Note that if you choose to encrypt your backups in iTunes, along with the normal data, safety information, such as passwords, etc. are also supported.)
You can backup your iOS device with iTunes or iCloud.
 
 
 
Step 2 Installation 8.1 update wirelessly over the air (OTA):

Before you download, connect not to empty during the update process, your device to the battery. It may take several minutes to an hour for the update to download and install, depending on how Apple servers handling the load and your connection to the Internet. You want to also connect your iPhone to your local WiFi network, so you will not be charged for receiving information over a cellular connection.

Once you're plugged in and connected via Wi-Fi, open the app and select General Settings> Software Update. iOS will automatically check for available updates and inform you that the iOS 8.1 software update is available.
 
 
 
Tap Download to download the update. Wait for the download and then click Install to complete to install the update. If you're tired of waiting to finish the download (which could take a while), then you do something else. Your iPhone or iPad will continue to download the update and send you a notification when the update is complete. Go to Settings> General> Software Update, and then click Install Now to install the update file downloaded iOS now.
